Polar Bears! Look and Learn

Polar Bears! Learn About Polar Bears and Enjoy Colorful Pictures - Look and Learn! (50+ Photos of Polar Bears) - Becky Wolff

4 Stars

The pictures are much better in this version of Look and Learn. While still small, they are less pixilated and clearer than most. Some of the pictures are really cute and sweet.

If you are going to do a book kinda cheaply and in choppy sentences, don’t start a new sentence on a new page with: “It has evolved to occupy a narrower ecological niche...”  What has evolved?? Of course she means Polar Bears but it took me a minute.  Also, this is supposed to be for kids. What kid can read that sentence??

So overall I gave this a high rating (for the series at least) because the author actually seemed to be trying to write something decently. Though again, if this book is for kids, several of the sentences were freaking difficult to understand. But over all this is definitely one of the better ones in the series.
