The Hedge Knight: The Graphic Novel (The Hedge Knight Graphic Novels, #1) - George R.R. Martin, Mike S. Miller, Ben Avery

Star Rating Art:  4 Stars

Star Rating Story:  4 Stars

Self purchase, Kindle

First Impression:  Not bad. The story is good. The people look a little awkward art wise.

I love George R.R. Martin’s series Game of Thrones. I’ve been reading it for years, following it before it got crazy famous from the tv show.  So now there is a graphic novel and George R.R. Martin is writing it- and you can tell as the writing is well done.  This takes place generations before any of the characters we know in the series.  You know this is George R.R. Martin because there are so many names and families that you can’t keep track of them all.

The first chapter is a little boring but understandibly so as there has to be some background and plot settting up 3 Stars. Chapter two gets better and hangs on a little bit of a cliffhanger 4 stars.  Chapter three is a bit boring as it is mostly knights of different houses jousting 3 Stars. Chapter four, things are getting VERY interesting. The Hedge Knight ends up in a challenge. 5 Stars  Chapter 5- The story is gaining momentum. The Hedge Knight has to come up with other knights who while help him fight. 5 Stars; Chapter 6- Very tidy ending. Very well done. 5 Stars

Highly recommended if you read Fantasy, George R.R. Martin and or Comics and Graphic novels.  The art was good, but the peoples faces and stances sometimes looked awkward. I’d guess the art was done on a computer but that doesn’t matter, it just was a touch off at some places.
