Out of all of the Harry Potter books, this book is pretty low on the list. Will be able to tell you exactly where it falls by the time the end of the re-read. There are too many annoying things in the first half of the book to give this book 5 stars. However, the second half of the book is much better, especially when the tritournament starts, and especially when they get around to the third task.  I feel like this book is a big turning point in the series, where we’ve crossed over from children’s books into young adult books. Voldemort takes a physical form and the books get much darker and serious from here on out.  I love all the books in the series, this one just a little less.

Dislikes

Can Hermoine be anymore annoying than she is in this book with the house-elf rights. I just find this freaking annoying.

While I love the Quiddich World Cup scenes, Its a bit annoying that it takes until almost 25% percent of the book before we see Hogwarts. I mean, I LOVE Hogwarts and want to be there!!!

Percy starts turning into an ass.

Rita Skeeter just pisses me off

Hate it when Ron and Harry fight, really makes me sad.
