I admit I was a bit put off by the Moose Look and Learn. But I’m back and willing to giving the series some more time. Since my Iphone was smashed this morning, I can’t read some of my review stuff until I replace my phone (tonight hopefully). So instead I thought I’d borrow the Look and Learn Reindeer edition from Amazon. You know you missed these while I was sick right??
So I thought the Reindeer one would be fun since it’s kinda close to Christmas. I didn’t do the Turkey at Thanksgiving cause I’m just not into Turkeys. I love most animals but I still eat them and Turkeys are just not interesting to me.
Some cute close up, “nose shots” of them. Can’t really explain a nose shot but it’s like those playing cards of dogs and cats where the nose is large. Making the animals look really cute. Also SSQQUUEEELL cute photos of a reindeer baby. Also? A photo of a reindeer with Santa. Bonus points for appealing to the kiddies.
Did you know?
I did not know a Caribou is the same thing as a Reindeer. Or if I did, I forgot that.
They are related to elk, moose and deer (none of which should really be a surprise)
Both genders have the antlers, different from all other species.
Reindeer eat 12 pounds of food per day.
Reindeer can lower the temperature in their legs to just about freezing in extremely cold weather
Reindeer are the only mammals that can see ultraviolet light.
Some annoying things:
There is a repetition of a facts, like two pages after it was first stated. Minor really.
An adult can weigh as much as 700 pounds but normally are 350-400 pounds. (It’s like saying a human can way 600 pounds but normally weigh 220. Why don’t you just say the average weight. Nit picking, I know).
The normal some ify quality photos
