I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this. But I was pleasantly surprised. Even though the art and style isn’t the same as what the cartoon was in the 80’s, I still really enjoyed this. The writing is more than decent and the art is great as well. In this issue Jerrica isn’t able to perform in public and then she discovers a secret her deceased father left to her, Synergy, a computer/hologram who will eventually help her with her performances by turning her into Jem. Jerrica never actually turns into Jem in this issue which is a tiny bit of a disapointment but I can live with it since over all it was a good reintroduction to the Jem and the Hologram characters. I immediately subscribed to the series after reading this so you know its good.
