The Fifth Beatle Star Rating Art: 4 Stars
Star Rating Story: 4 Stars
Plot/Storyline: The story is surprisingly interesting. I asked to review this since my husband is a huge Beatles fan and thought it would be nice to read a little bit about their manager Brian Epstein, or as they called him Eppy. It makes me sad that Brian Eppstein was blackmailed and treated badly for being gay. It makes me sad his doctor gave him pills to help him cure his homosexual tendencies.
Art/Colors: The art is average to good, a lot of times I had a hard time distinguishing between the four beetles, particularly while they were younger. As the book and their ages progress, it becomes easier to tell them apart.. They didn’t look that much alike. The section on the Philippines was drawn oddly but not terrible.
Overall, I’d really recommend this if you are at all interested in the Beatles and or the music industry.
