The Stonekeeper (Amulet, Book 1)

Amulet, Book 1: The Stonekeeper - Kazu Kibuishi Amulet: Volume 1 5 Very Enthusiastic Stars
Self purchase for kindle.
First Impression:  Prologue a bit traumatizing but the art looks good.
Everything this writer does ends up being gold for me. I loved the Flight collections he put together. This is better. ! This is everything I love, Graphic Novels, Young adult, Fantasy and Mystery. So happy!!! Not much else to say. Art is beautiful. Story fantastic. And I already have volume 2. Of course it may be awhile (depending on how long I can withstand the temptation) before I get to it.
Anyway, Short synopsis:  Two kids and their mother move to their grandfather’s house after the death of their father. They then end up having to rescue their mother. Along the way they meet Miskit, an adorable bunny and some talking robots.
Characters:  Love Emily and Navin. Miskit, a pink bunny, is very cute. Theodore, the robot is also awesome.
Highly enjoyable read. Especially if you like Graphic Novels, Fantasy and young adult. Definitely a favorite of 2013.
