Anya's Ghost

Anya's Ghost - Vera Brosgol

5 Stars for Art and story.

Gift, for Kindle

First Impression:  Ok. art is great.  This MUST be foreign, as children are talking about smoking. O.o

The art is black white and blueish. Very cool looking. The story and art are very original. A teenager named Anya falls down a well and meets a ghost. She is rescued but inadvertantly brings the ghost with her. Very accurately portrays how mean highschool teen girls are.  The ghost quickly becomes a problem. I don’t want to summarize to much because it would give the fun of reading it away.  It does get a bit creepy, but it is also funny, and heart warming in parts.  I wouldn’t recommend this for kids as its a bit creepy, but its definitely a fantastic graphic novel. It will definitely get listed as a favorite of 2014.
