First Impression: So far nice writing. Some of the words/terminology I’m not familiar with as it refers to plants/wildlife in Africa but those are easy to look up.
Honestly, I feel like the author was trying to hard to make this a beautifully written book. It came across as overly flowery. Some sentences just made me want to scratch my head and say what the heck?? Also, plot was really slow. At 25% in barely anything had happened. This is also a very hard book to read if you are an animal lover like me. But It was about Africa so I really thought I’d like it. I can’t waste more time on it. It just wasn’t doing anything for me.
