Fables Cubs in Toyland

Fables, Vol. 18: Cubs in Toyland - Bill Willingham

Star Rating Art:  5 Stars

Star Rating Story:  4.5

Self purchase for Kindle.

First Impression: The art is extremely consistant from volume to volume.

All about the cubs who really are almost teenagers now. This volume is very interesting and I’m having a hard time putting it down.  This is my favorite volume of Fables in awhile.  Therese (one of the cubs) is drawn away from her family to be queen of Toyland. It’s quite depressing what happens in this volume but I don’t want to ruin it so I won’t say more. But it’s done very well, written well and the art is fantastic as usual. I rated the writing a little lower because I didn’t like the two short stories at the end of the volume. I have Vol 19 from netgalley which I will try to read and review next week.
