First Impression: wow. Intense

This is different than any other comic out there right now. The writing is good and have mixed feelings about the art. It tends to be a bit graphic. The writing while good, can get a little confusing. I’m not always sure what is going on. But I do see why this has been well received.  Laura is a college age girl who gets involved with the Gods, in particular with Lucifer.  Interestingly, Lucifer or Luici is a woman. A butch woman.  In any case, the Gods go apeshit crazy. There is lots of infighting and Lucifer  is killed at the end of the volume but she leaves a present for Laura.  I had a lot of mixed emotions about this. At first I thought I’d only rate this 3 or 3.5 stars but the ending is so spectacular I had to up my rating. I don’t think I’ll subscribe to this, I’ll just read the graphic novels as they come out because I think it short bursts it will be even more confusing than it already was.
